Dionte Richards English Comp1 3/20/13 Descriptive essay Adrian Peterson is known as a running back for the Minnesota Vikings. He is a role model who shows pride and courage in every down he plays even through all of his trials and tribulations he faced. This phenomenal man is an exciting player who gets people excited, ecstatic, or whatever type of joy you could possibly have when you see him run the football. He just makes you want to watch the game of football. The people who followed or knew Adrian Peterson since he was young would say those words. Because he can do it all he will either break multiple tackles, make you look silly or just run past you, and just show how determined he was to dominate the game of football all the†¦show more content†¦Later Adrian Peterson went to Westwood High school where he couldn’t play until his junior year because of transportation situations. Once that was situated Adrian Peterson rushed for more than 2,000 yards and scored 22 touchdowns in his junior year. After t his year college recruits drooled over his natural talent and his physical stature as he stood at six feet and two inches also weighing in at an amazing 215 pounds. Some people may not know this but Adrian Peterson size is huge for any running back. Adrian Peterson finished up his senior year with extraordinary numbers, he signed to the University of Oklahoma. In his first year as a sooner things didn’t go quite as expected. Adrian Peterson fought through his obstacles despite his terrific freshman season when he was a Heisman trophy candidate by leading his struggling team in rushing from worst to the best. He suffered a shoulder injury that some thought would be career ending but Adrian Peterson did not give up even though it was bothering him tremendously. As he went through the games with this pain Adrian knew that it was too much so he sat out for the rest of his sophomore year. Next year Adrian Peterson had no injuries coming in and he felt that this year was going to b e his year because he knew how hard he worked.
